Our Center
Inspired by our motto, ‘Expertise That Cares’, we provide multidisciplinary care under one roof at The Doris Duan-Young Autism Center (DDY) for children and young adults. Located in the Dubai Healthcare City free zone, our facilities, spread over 11,500 square feet, cater to more than 18 services across assessment, clinical, therapeutic, inclusion and vocational programs, and community and caregiver trainings.
With unconditional love, a value practiced by each member of The DDY Autism Center Team, comprising Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), Developmental Psychologists, and Counselors, we have empowered almost 300 families since opening in 2014. In a span of a few years, we have grown in recognition as one of the leading autism centers in Dubai providing comprehensive, personalized, and innovative care.
Our efforts towards building capacity and capability in autism care have been recognized by the Dubai Healthcare City Authority Excellence Awards – 2019 for Healthcare Innovation and 2020 for our work as a Rehabilitation Center. In addition, our staff are accredited in Crisis Intervention Training by Canadian Safe Management Group.
We continue to build an inclusive society for individuals with autism and People of Determination and their families in collaboration with government, private, and academic institutions, and support Dubai’s medical tourism initiatives.

Doris Duan-Young
US-based best-selling author
Founder of the Doris Duan-Young Autism Centers
The Doris Duan-Young Autism Center (DDY) was born with its own inspiring history and legacy. The person behind the name of the center is Doris Duan-Young, the US-based best-selling author and founder of the Doris Duan-Young Autism Centers.
Since 1994, she has helped over 20,000 families overcome challenges associated with autism and other developmental disabilities. At the time, Doris was providing services for children and adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities through Behavioral Support Services (BSS), Inc, and made a commitment through the Clinton Foundation to open an autism center in the UAE.
We launched the Dubai center, bearing her name in 2014 on April 2, World Autism Awareness Day, an internationally recognized day by the United Nations and Member States. Inspired by her work and her guidance to date, the center in Dubai continues to empower individuals with autism.
After we launched, Dr. Ben Hadj Hassine joined as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. Under his leadership, The DDY Autism Center expanded in Al Razi Medical Complex (Building 64), Blocks B and C, to include two therapeutic centers and administration and operations departments. He set up strategic partnerships and collaborations with GCC government departments and local entities to drive medical tourism and increase referrals for individual on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Further, Dr. Ben prioritized family education and training across all clinical settings, allowing parents and caretakers to become part of the growth journey.
