Key responsibilities / accountabilities

• Duties include conducting physical assessment of clients, developing treatment plans, assessing work and home environments of clients, and developing physical rehabilitation programs.
• Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
• Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
• Educating caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.
• Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
• Maintaining professional knowledge and technical progress to provide clients with the best treatment program available.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or in any related field.

Competencies

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain a high level of organization for file maintenance, daily, weekly and monthly record keeping.

Experience

• At least 2 years of work experience as an OT Therapist working with individuals who have autism spectrum.
